Updated: Nov 9, 2022

Welcome back to another spotlight feature by the Rooted Minds Blog, where we connect with Artists and Entrepreneurs to learn about their journey and shed some light on the various happenings in our community. This brand is big on being able to connect with other emerging artists and learn about their work. Many of us have very unique stories and approaches, so we believe that it’s important to highlight those moments and people while continuing to put good energy out into the world.

We were originally introduced to Louie through Danny Silvertone and Danny credits Epidemic Media for helping to take his career to the next level. So immediately, we had to catch up with Louie in order to learn about his journey and plans for the future. Louie Cohen

RM: Rooted Minds
LC: Louie Cohen

RM: What has been your journey to being in the field that you’re in today? (Artist, Musician, Athlete, Entrepreneur, Business Owner, Creative, Etc.) What has been the most impactful lesson that you've learned?

LC: My Lesson is that the world is made out of many different sounds and a lot of local talent has potential I work with a lot of people and I help them get where they deserve to be as an artist inside and out Image is everything and the sound is a plus its a mix and match type situation. my most impactful moment doing this is getting paid big money doing what I love to do I started this love for film as a child and now I'm doing it and making a living out of my lemons.

RM: For those that may not know, how did you come up with the name or concept for your business, brand, channel, or project?

LC: Epidemic Media the name has a HUGE meaning and it was made way before this pandemic. By the way, I was trying to make a change in these artists' careers and I wanted to be the change in the scene. I never saw myself doing it this big, but when I started I wanted to be an epidemic to them in a positive light. The first style of an epidemic and it's really crazy to say that the name now speaks for itself. I'm all over the globe cause I went and took passion to its fullest place!

RM: 1) Tell us about your inspiration behind an upcoming project. 2) What do you hope to accomplish and what do you hope people take away from it?

LC: Well I'm looking forward to working with JELLY ROLL, RIFF RAFF, CASKEY, etc. These artists are in the inbox and things are going forward very soon also I will be creating a new UMBRELLA for many avenues I'm doing. First comes Blueberry Lemonade which will be a Clothing Line / Drink / THC company that represents Mental Health, we will be going live with the company very soon as well with lots of amazing collaborations that many look up to today. The 2nd is SUNRISE FILMS, which will be a production company just like Epidemic Media but on a Higher level with bigger level clients and we will be Doing Weddings etc.

RM: What have been some effective ways that you've marketed yourself in your space and industry?

LC: Word-of-mouth is a strong way to let someone know you are the man

RM: How have you grown in your field (entrepreneur or creative) in the last 5 years and who's been influential in that process?

LC: Jakob Owens has been a mentor / Influence to me since day one and Cole Bennett is a super influence he is younger than me but is doing and was doing this just like I am so there is no doubt we will meet one day =)

RM: What are some short-term goals that you are working towards, that friends and supporters can help you with?

LC: Short term goal for myself is to finally get a car and a house/apartment I HAVE BEEN living in hotels for 2 years I had a short break for 7-9 months and then back out here doing the hotel thing it's very hard doing what I do like this but I'm more than dedicated to this lifestyle ill do anything nothing will stop me =) keep your head high and nothing less

RM: 1) What are one or two things that keep you rooted/grounded? 2)How do you practice good self-care or how can you practice it better (if you've been lacking in that area)?

LC: KEEP DOING IT never stop ever if u see something capture that moment

RM: What are some words of wisdom or encouragement for upcoming creatives, entrepreneurs, or people in a similar situation that you'd like to share?

LC: Don't just do it be great at it!

RM: What has been the best piece of advice you have ever received in reference to your journey, career, and industry?

LC: When life seems like it's falling it just opens bigger doors for you to keep grinding cause your getting better that's all more life and more problems but better life at most
